After an incredibly long delay, access to the Cochrane Library has been restored. Thank you for your patience as we resolved this issue.

Several databases unavailable

It has come to our attention that the library’s subscription to the Cochrane Library is asking for logins and passwords. This is not correct, and we are working with the company to correct the problem.

In addition, Novelist and Novelist K-8 are also currently unavailable. We are contacting the vendor about these as well.

A.C. Buehler Library wins National Award

The A.C. Buehler Library at Elmhurst won the Association of Research and College Libraries (ACRL) 2010 Excellence in In Academic Libraries Award. The Excellence in Academic Libraries Award “recognizes the staff of a college, university and community college library for programs that deliver exemplary services and resources to further the educational mission of the institution.” See the ACRL press release for more.

Haiti Earthquake Relief

Food for Library Fines

In cooperation with Amnesty International on campus, students are encouraged to bring in a canned food item for each dollar in library fines they have (up to $5.00) to get those fines erased from their account.

Thanksgiving Hours

The library will close early on Wednesday (11/25) at 7:00 p.m. and stay closed on Thursday (11/26) and Friday (11/27). Normal hours will resume on Saturday (11/28). Feel free to call the reference desk (630-617-3173) with any questions!
