MUS 395 Special Studies in Music Theory: Books, Recordings & Scores

Books, Recordings & Scores

Use I-Share to find books, scores, and sound recordings on your topic. Scores and books are located on the second floor of the library; scores have call numbers of M780-M789, books have call numbers of 780-789. Sound recordings on Reserve for courses are checked out at the Circulation Desk; there are several listening stations available in the library.

Search by Author to find scores and sound recordings by a particular composer. Search by Subject to find materials about works, composers, as well as cultural topics. Search "music analysis" using a Keyword search to find books on analysis.

A Note on Uniform Titles
Music can be difficult to locate in library catalogs because the titles of musical works may be in different languages. Libraries make finding musical works "easier" by using Uniform Titles. See this guide about Using Uniform Titles for further assistance.
