You will find some articles indexed in the Literature Resource Center, but you can also browse or search the archives on the magazine's website.
The New Yorker Magazine
The New Yorker is tricky, we get full text from the print edition in Academic Search Complete, but there's some content they only put on their website. Also some content is only available to subscribers, though that content should be in the database. Ask for help if you can't find what you're looking for.
The Playbill Vault
Digitized copies of Playbills going back to 1931. You can find production information here, but also look for notes, dramaturgical articles, interviews with playwrights and or creative/production staff.
The Times (London)
You may need to find full text in a database.

Web sources for production information:

IBDB (Internet Broadway Database) archive is the official database for Broadway theatre information. IBDB provides records of productions from the beginnings of New York theatre until today.
Internet Off-Broadway Database This website is run by the Lortel Organization and has lots of information about Off-Broadway theaters, shows, etc. Especially cool is the Playwrights' Sidewalk Use the highlighter tool to click on a star (the playwright's name appears on the marquee of the theater) and you will get a short biography of the plawright.

Theater History.com There's some interesting stuff here, but a lot of it comes from old, out-of-copyright sources. Use with discretion.
