Academic Search Complete Provides abstracts from over 12,500 periodicals in the social sciences, humanities, general science, multicultural studies, and others, with full text articles from 8,500 titles, including more than 7,300 that are peer-reviewed. Almost every topic of study is covered. The database is updated daily, and includes searchable cited references from more than 1,400 journals.
Academic Video Online: Premium (AVON) Academic Video Online (AVON) delivers more than 70,000 video titles spanning the widest range of subject areas including anthropology, business, counseling, film and more. AVON includes every kind of video material available with curricular relevance: documentaries, interviews, performances, news programs and newsreels, field recordings, commercials, and raw footage. Users will find thousands of award-winning films, including Academy®, Emmy®, and Peabody® winners as well as the most frequently used films for classroom instruction, plus newly released films and previously unavailable archival material.
AGRICOLA An index to materials relating to all aspects of agriculture, forestry, animal science, food and human nutrition, and earth and environmental science acquired by the National Agriculture Library since 1970. Contains nearly 5 million citations to journal articles, AV materials and book chapters, patents, software, technical reports and theses.
American Antiquarian Society Historical Periodicals Collection EBSCO partners with American Antiquarian Society (AAS), the premier library documenting the life of America's people from the Colonial Era through the Civil War and Reconstruction, to provide digital access to the most comprehensive collection of American periodicals published between 1684 and 1912.
American Chemical Society (ACS) Publications Includes the full texts of more than 30 periodicals in chemistry and related disciplines published by the American Chemical Society.
Annual Reviews Spans a number of topics; the library subscribes to full text of 10 titles: Clinical Psychology (2008-date), Criminology (2018-date), Ecology, Evolution, and Systematics (1996-date), Genetics (1996-date), Microbiology (1996-date), Physiology (1997-date), Plant Biology (2013-date), Psychology (2008-date), Public Health (1980-date), and Sociology (2008-date). APA PsycARTICLES Includes the complete full text of nearly 100 American Psychological Association (APA) journals and from allied organizations. Coverage from 1894-present.
APA PsycINFO Covers professional and academic literature in psychology and related disciplines including medicine, psychiatry, nursing, sociology, education, pharmacology, physiology, linguistics, and other areas. There are 2,500 titles indexed, and linked full text is available.
ArchiveGrid ArchiveGrid includes over 7 million records describing archival materials, bringing together information about historical documents, personal papers, family histories, and more. With over 1,400 archival institutions represented, ArchiveGrid helps researchers looking for primary source materials held in archives, libraries, museums and historical societies.
Archives Unbound: Holocaust Studies A collection of historical digitized materials to support research in a specific topic area. The Holocaust Studies collection includes primary source materials covering topics such as: correspondence from German concentration camps and prisons, German anti-Semitic propaganda, Jewish emigration, Nazi finances, Nazi looting, Nazi war crimes, U.S. relations with the Vatican and the Holocaust, and Jewish underground resistance.

Atla Religion with AtlaSerials Designed to support religious and theological scholarship, this international database covers such topics as Biblical studies, world religions, Church history, and religious perspectives on social issues from 1949-present. Through ATLA you can gain access to full-text articles in ATLASerials, a collection of 230 theological journals.
Axis 360 Digital Media Library A collection of popular press ebooks either purchased by Elmhurst University or part of eRead Illinois.
BiblioBoard A new collection of e-books available to all library patrons in Illinois. Includes several collections: Recovering the Classics, Popup Picks, Indie Illinois, Library Journal SELF-e Select, Scholarly Resources - Open educational resources (OERs) for students, Bodleian Library collection, BiblioBoard Core and BiblioBoard Access collections, and Plympton collection.
Bibliography of the History of Art From the Getty Research Institute, a database provides access to the Bibliography of the History of Art (BHA) and to the Répertoire de la litterature de l'art (RILA) for no charge on its Web site. These citation databases, searchable together, cover material published between 1975 and 2007.
Biography and Genealogy Master Index (BGMI) Indexes any print resource containing biographical information on people from all time periods, geographical locations and fields of endeavor.
Black Studies in Video The collection contains 500 hours of film covering African American history, politics, art and culture, family structure, gender relationships, and social and economic issues. The collection is comprised of documentaries, powerful interviews, and previously unavailable archival footage surveying the black experience.

Business and Legal Aspects of Sports and Entertainment BLASE is designed to assist researchers in locating sources relevant to the many issues surrounding these critically important subject areas, both of which have now attained global prominence. Organized into sixteen tabs, each covering a distinct type of material, the database builds upon HeinOnline’s historical strengths in legal periodical literature, case law, and U. Chronicle of Higher Education Full text access to current and past issues (through 1995) of the Chronicle of Higher Education, source of news for people in academe.
CINAHL Complete Provides full text for more than 1,300 journals indexed in CINAHL. Provides indexing for more than 5,000 journals from the fields of nursing and allied health. Covers nursing, biomedicine, health sciences librarianship, alternative/complementary medicine, consumer health and 17 allied health disciplines. Searchable cited references for nearly 1,500 journals are also included.
Civil Rights and Social Justice Contains publications covering civil rights in the United States as their legal protections and definitions are expanded to cover more and more Americans. Includes links to more than 500 scholarly articles, hearings and committee prints, legislative histories on the landmark legislation, CRS and GAO reports, briefs from major Supreme Court cases, and publications from the Commission on Civil Rights.
CLASE and PERIODICA A combination of two different indexes covering Latin American journals in the social sciences, sciences, the humanities, and Pan-American issues. CLASE and PERIODICA accesses citations in over 2,600 scholarly journals published in Spanish, Portuguese, French and English. CLASE covers 1975-present, while PERIODICA covers 1978-present.
Classical Music Library Classical Music Library is an extensive collection of over 50,000 recordings of classical music, focusing on contemporary classical music and women composers. Pieces come from over 30 music labels. Free registration enables users to create their own playlists.
Classical Scores Library Contains over 450,000 pages of classical scores spanning time periods from the Middle Ages to the 21st century.
Communication and Mass Media Complete (CMMC) Covers a variety of areas pertaining to communication and mass media. The product of a merging of CommSearch and Mass Media Articles Index, CMMC contains the full text of over 500 titles in addition to citations to several other types of documents and searchable cited references.
Consumer Health Complete A full-text database providing access to easily understandable health and medical information found in hundreds of health reference books, more than 550 journals and magazines, images, diagrams, animations and video. It covers topics such as aging, cancer, diabetes, drugs & alcohol, fitness, nutrition & dietetics, children's health, men & women's health, and evidence-based health reports.
Credo Reference An online collection of over 1000 reference books, covering a wide range of subjects, from art to technology. Credo Reference also includes a selection of specialized reference books from Sage Publishing.
EBL ebooks (CARLI) This project through the CARLI consortium includes more than 29,000 humanities and social science ebook titles from select publishers. It offers online and offline access, read aloud functionality, and usability for portable devices.

Emcare includes unique content not found in other nursing and allied health databases and features more than a thousand journals not covered by Elsevier’s Embase database.

ERIC (EBSCO) ERIC is a key source for education information. Allows users to access articles from scholarly as well as professional periodicals, in addition to ERIC documents back to 1966 - more than 1.4 million records in all. Many articles are available in full-text, and there are links to full-text ERIC documents available.

European View of the Americas 1493 to 1750 The database contains more than 32,000 entries and is a comprehensive guide to printed records about the Americas written in Europe before 1750.

FMG Archival Films and Newsreels A collection of over 4600 archival films and newsreels spanning the history of moving images.
Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia An encyclopedia aimed primarily at elementary and middle school students with over 25,000 entries on a variety of topics.
Gale Case Studies Scholarly case studies provide context around curated primary sources focusing on people, places, events and movements. These studies tie together historical perspectives with modern themes presented in an engaging narrative. The library has three collections: Political Extremism, Public Health Issues, and Race and Civil Rights.
Gale Directory Library Includes online versions of the Gale Directory of Publications and Broadcast Media, Encyclopedia of Business Information Sources, and Market Share Reporter.
Gale eBooks Contains the full-text of hundreds of print reference titles and series, allowing you access to key reference sources without having to be in the library. Includes a variety of topics, and all titles in the Scribner's and Twayne's author series. Most Gale eBook titles can also be accessed through I-Share.

Garland Encyclopedia of World Music This online encyclopedia is devoted to music research of all the world's peoples with more than 1,200 essays and images and hundreds of audio examples.
Global Issues (Gale in Context) A database that explores global issues through a portal displaying current information from newspapers, magazines, academic journals, websites, reference sources, primary sources and statistics.
Google Scholar A search engine to broadly search for scholarly literature from one platform across many disciplines and sources.
GPO Monthly Catalog Contains records on all subjects of interest to the U.S. government, including Congressional reports, hearings and debates; judiciary materials; and documents issued by executive departments from 1976-present.
GreenFILE GreenFILE is a collection of more than 612,000 scholarly, government and general-interest records that include content on the environmental effects of individuals, corporations and local/national governments, and what can be done on each level to minimize negative impact. Topics covered include global warming, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more.
Gun Regulation and Legislation in America This new HeinOnline collection brings together more than 500 titles dealing with this difficult and important topic. Included are periodicals, key compiled federal legislative histories, relevant congressional hearings, CRS Reports, Supreme Court briefs, and more. HeinOnline Academic HeinOnline Academic includes more than 100 million pages of multidisciplinary content in more than 100 subject areas, including history, political science, criminal justice, religious studies, international relations, women’s studies, pre-law, and many more. With more historical content than any other database, HeinOnline provides access to 300+ years of information on political development and the complete history of the creation of government and legal systems around the world. Among the many databases included, HeinOnline’s journal collection features nearly 2,800 periodicals relating to a variety of subject areas, with all coverage dating from inception to the most currently published issues in most cases.

Joanna Briggs Institute Evidence Based Practice Database Contains a wide range of summarized and appraised evidence, to inform practice. This comprehensive range of resources includes over 3,000 records across seven publication types: Evidence Based Recommended Practices, Evidence Summaries, Best Practice Information Sheets, Systematic Reviews, Consumer Information Sheets, Systematic Review Protocols, and Technical Reports.

An electronic archive of journal titles, often going back to the first issue of a journal's existence. Articles can be found in the following collections: Arts and Sciences I-XV and Life Sciences. In addition, Elmhurst subscribes to several journals that have current issues accessed through JSTOR.

Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts (LISTA) Indexes more than 600 periodicals in library science and information management, plus books, research reports and proceedings. Coverage extends back to the mid-1960s.
Life Magazine Archive Life Magazine Archive presents an extensive collection of the famed photojournalism magazine, spanning its very first issue in November, 1936 through December, 2000 in a comprehensive cover-to-cover format. Each issue visually and powerfully depicted national and international events and topical stories, providing intimate views of real people and their real life situations. Articles and cover pages are fully indexed and advertisements are individually identified, ensuring researchers and readers can quickly and accurately locate the information they seek. Life Magazine Archive is valuable to researchers of 20th-Century current events, politics and culture, as well as those interested in the history of business, advertising, and popular culture.
Literary Index An online index to the entirety of the approximately 130 print Gale products, including Contemporary Literary Criticism, Poetry Criticism, Drama Criticism, and Short Story Criticism. There are nearly 165,000 authors and 215,000 titles indexed. Will become Gale Literary Index in September 2020.

MathSciNet Covers the world's mathematical literature since 1940, providing Web access to signed reviews and bibliographic data collected by the American Mathematical Society. MathSciNet® contains almost 3 million items and over 1.7 million direct links to original articles.
MathSciNet (EBSCO) An electronic publication of the American Mathematical Society (AMS) offering access to a searchable database of reviews, abstracts and bibliographic information for mathematical sciences literature. Continuing in the tradition of the paper publication, Mathematical Reviews (MR), over 40,000 reviews are added to the database each year.
MEDLINE (EBSCO) with Full Text A comprehensive source of full text for medical journals, providing full text for more than 1,470 journals. Coverage back to 1949 with fulltext back to 1965, includes searchable citations to more than 4800 current journals.
MEDLINE (FirstSearch) An international index to all areas of medicine, dating back to 1965. Over 10,500 titles are indexed, and substantial abstracts are included.
MEDLINE (Thomson-Reuters) The U.S. National Library of Medicine® (NLM®) premier life sciences database.
Military and Government Collection Offers current news on all branches of the military and government, including a collection of academic journals, trade publications and newsweeklies; also provides full text for almost 300 periodicals. Full text from 1975-present.
MLA International Bibliography The MLA International Bibliography is the definitive index for the study of language, literature, linguistics, rhetoric and composition, folklore, and film, covering scholarly publications from the early 20th century to the present. International in scope, it includes citations to journal articles, books, articles in books, series, translations, scholarly editions, websites, and dissertations, with links to full text in JSTOR, Project MUSE, and other resources. The database also includes the MLA Directory of Periodicals and the MLA Thesaurus, a searchable collection of thousands of subject terms, and personal names used in indexing the bibliography.
Music Online Browse or search this comprehensive database of streaming audio, video, reference, and scores on the web. More than 515,000 albums, over 6 million audio tracks, over 24,000 books, documents and music scores, and over 1700 hours of video are included.
Nature Nature is a weekly international journal publishing peer-reviewed research in all fields of science and technology. Nature also provides news and interpretation of topical and coming trends affecting science, scientists and the wider public.
Naxos Music Library Provides access to over 132,000 albums and over 2,000,000 music tracks from the Naxos label and other catalogs. Users can listen to audio tracks of classical, jazz, world, folk, and Chinese music. Besides providing streaming audio, the database also provides biographical information on musicians and composers as well as notes on the music itself. Limited to 5 simultaneous users.
New World Cinema: Independent Features and Shorts 1990-present A collection of approximately 200 full-length feature films from leading independent distributors such as Kino Lorber, First Run Features, Film Movement, MK2, and the Global Films Initiative, along with some fifty award-winning shorts. All the films were shown at major festivals. Many were nominated and collectively, the films in the collection have won more than 1,000 awards.
New York Times (ProQuest) Allows you to access the full text from 1980-present. 
Newspaper Source Contains comprehensive full text of articles from more than 40 U.S. national and international newspapers, selected full text from over 330 regional papers, and television and radio news transcripts.

Nineteenth Century U.S. Newspapers Nineteenth Century U.S. Newspapers is an online archive of primary source content. It includes full-text digital facsimiles of approximately 500 urban and regional newspapers, special-interest publications, and illustrated papers that were published throughout the United States during the 19th century.
Nursing Education in Video A partnership with Medcom-Trainex, Nursing Education in Video gives faculty and students anywhere-anytime access to Medcom’s highly regarded library of full-length training programs—online in streaming video. Medcom videos have won more than 50 major awards for excellence, including the prestigious Emmy award. Nursing Education in Video covers the fundamentals of nurse training and advanced topics.
Nursing@Ovid Books Extended Core Collection A collection of 38 electronic book titles in nursing, from LWW publishers. All titles are also included in the I-Share catalog.
OAIster A catalog of more than 30 million digital resources from over 1,500 organizations, developed by the University of Michigan and harvested using the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting. Includes scanned books, articles, audio, video, images, and datasets.
OmniFile Full Text Select OmniFile Full Text Select Edition is a multidisciplinary, 100% full-text database providing full text articles, with their accompanying indexing and abstracts. Coverage of more than 3100 publications goes back to 1994.
Open Access (OA) eBook Collection (EBSCO) A multidisciplinary collection of eBooks, created in cooperation with university presses and scholarly publishers in the Open Access model. The collection offers access to thousands of titles on various topics, without DRM (digital rights management) restrictions.
