IS 425 (Dauer) Management Information Systems: Finding Books

Catalog tips

I-Share is the catalog of the A.C. Buehler Library. Use this resource to find books, journal titles, movies, and music owned by Elmhurst College, and information about items available from over 80 academic and research libraries in Illinois.

You can search using any keyword, but may we suggest that you search by "Subject." Subject terms (Library of Congress Subject Headings) are used for focused searching, for central book themes/topics; you don't have to know the actual term, but it helps to be specfic. Here are some examples:

  • Camus, Albert
  • Camus, Albert--Criticism and Interpretation
  • French literature--20th century
You can use I-Share to search and request books from other libraries. Once you have performed a search in our catalog, click on the "Repeat Search in all I-Share Libraries?"to search other collections. If you find a book that you'd like to order, click on the "Request" option at the top of the page.
