Circulation and Interlibrary Loan: Study Rooms

Study Room Policy Update

Hi BlueJays!

Starting April 1, 2024, you'll need to check in for your reserved study room at the Circulation Desk. We're also making dry-erase markers available to check out, so be sure to ask them if you need them (there will be none in the study rooms). When you're leaving the study room, stop at the Circulation Desk one more time to check out of your room and return the markers.

Thanks for your cooperation, and happy studying!

Study Rooms in the A.C. Buehler Library

We have several blocks of study rooms available to current Elmhurst University students:

  • 201 – 219 (8 rooms) are our group study rooms on the 2nd floor.  A minimum of 2 people are required to use these spaces.
  • 224 – 227 (4 rooms) are individual study rooms along the west wall of the 2nd floor. No more than 1 person may use each room.
  • 103C is a conference room on the main floor. Up to 8 people may use this room. *This room is available Monday-Friday 6:00p-close & all hours Saturday and Sunday.*

A few guidelines to keep in mind:

  • Study rooms are for current Elmhurst student use only
  • Reservations may be cancelled if the requesting patron has not checked in within 15 minutes of the reservation time.
  • Reservations may be made up to 7 days in advance.
  • You must check in at the Circulation Desk prior to going to your room. Users of 103C will need to be let in to that room and are asked to close and lock the door when they leave.
